Though a social creature at heart, sometimes Nate just needed his privacy, and he often found it in the many empty classrooms scattered around Hogwarts... or, if he needed air, he went up to one of the towers. Today was one of those days that just required a peaceful, lonely moment taking in the splendor of the land surrounding Hogwarts, and watching what he could see below, while breathing in the fresh air and feeling his body rejuvenate.
He didn't keep track of how long he'd been up there, despite being... right next to a clock. He simply relaxed. Practiced a few spells. Recited the ingredients of a few potions. Tried to create his own spells (and failed). Went over his most recent lesson in Defense Against the Dark Arts.

The clock tower had always been one of her favourite places in the whole of Hogwarts, and currently where Victoire was heading towards. Normally she would be spending time with Britt or some of her other friends, but there were times when she just wanted to be on her own for a while. The Room of Requirement was normally her first choice, but when she'd tried that, the door wouldn't appear for her. Taking it to mean that the room was currently occupied, she'd wandered off in the direction of the clock tower, smiling and waving occasionally as she passed people, humming to herself as she did.
When she reached the tower, she started climbing the stairs, taking some two at a time. Her school bag that she hadn't discarded earlier bumped against her side every time she climbed higher, and Victoire reached over before holding it tightly in her hand. Once she had reached the final stair, relief was evident on her face. Some people played Quidditch to stay in shape, she climbed numerous stairs to reach the clock tower. Her shoes clicking against the floor seemed to echo around the area, occasionally mingling with the ticking of the clock hands as they moved. Victoire stopped when she reached the face of the clock, noticing a figure had beaten her to the spot. "Oh, hey Nate." she greeted, a small smirk playing on her lips as she recognized the figure.

Nate had taken a break from his practicing, reciting, reviewing and was leaning against the rail, watching students run in and out of the front doors to the castle when he heard someone coming up the stairs. It didn't bother him, he'd gotten all the time he'd needed--hell, maybe it was a girl he could flirt into an empty room, or the Room of Requirement. He didn't look over to the stairs when the footsteps seemed to finish ascending them, but his eyes widened slightly when he heard a voice and he realized who it was talking to him.
He took a moment to compose a flirty answer, or at least something witty to some degree, then turned to her with a suggestive smirk, spinning and leaning back against the rail as he happily and unashamedly looked her over. "Hey... Your name is Sexy, right? I keep forgetting." He sauntered over to her and leaned in, aiming a hopeful kiss to her neck. "Hi, Victoire... How've you been lately? Haven't seen you in a while..." He chuckled and moved to kiss her jaw. "Up to anything? Dating anyone?"
He seemed to remember that some people believed in something called personal space and took a step back, looking over her again. "Did you just come from class?" he asked curiously, eyeing her bag almost suspiciously. "Or are you hiding some goodies in there? I told you I'm not into that kind of stuff..." Well, depended on what "stuff" it was, but whatever. "What're you doing up here, anyway?"

While he seemed to take a moment to answer her greeting, Victoire reached behind her head and pulled her hair into a loose ponytail, biting back a smirk. When he turned towards her, she noticed the smirk sitting on his face, and raised an eyebrow in response. Tilting her head back as his lips descended on her neck, she chuckled lightly at his words. "Something like that. Or so I'm told, at least," she said as she felt his lips move along her jaw line.
Grinning and looking up at his through her eyelashes, Victoire shook her hair off her shoulder in a slight shrugging motion. "No, can't say I am," she replied, finding it rather entertaining as he took a step away from her. It didn't really bother her too much, people invading her personal space, but it also depended on who was doing the invading. "What about you, any girl catch your fancy?" she questioned as she dropped her bag beside her and leaned against the railing.
Frowning slightly, she followed his gaze down to her bag and had to bite back a laugh at his words. Leave it to Nate to think up that suggestion for what might be in her bag. "Who says I might be hiding anything that's for you?" the blond asked, amusement evident in her voice. Shaking her head, she leaned down to scoop up her bag and pulled out one of her textbooks. "School books. Nothing too exciting." she showed him before putting it back and dropping the thing at her feet once more. The thumping sound it made was quite satisfying one some level. She rolled her eyes briefly before motioning around the area. "This is my place; kind of where I come to be alone sometimes," she paused to look over at him, "What are you doing up here?"

Nate couldn't help but cackle at her words, nuzzling her ever so slightly. "Mmm, well, I believe it." He grinned a little, stepping close to her again and bringing a hand up to gently graze over her throat, his eyes glinting with a hint of lust. "I could change that," he purred, following her movement easily and grabbing the railing beside her, effectively pinning her there--or, well, hopefully. "Nah... you know me. I can't stay with one person for too long. Gets boring." He paused, then quickly amended, "You weren't boring."
He looked back up to her and looked playfully disappointed, shrugging lightly. "You never know." His expression became a little more sincere when he saw only text books, and he sighed dramatically as he looked back to her. Her question wasn't answered immediately. He debated lying, or finding a way to play dumb, or something. It seemed to falter and he just settled for a half-assed version of the truth. "Felt like I needed a break from all the girls hanging on my arm and didn't want to risk getting swarmed in an empty classroom or the common room."
He moved away from her, leaning back against the rail next to her, looking down at the ground somewhat blankly. He seemed to be lost in thought, but then he looked up at her calculatingly, taking in more than just her sexual appeal for once. "You look good," he observed, moving to stand in front of her again, though he didn't trap her like before. "I regret our breakup," he confessed gently. "You're one of the few," he giggled, lighter, stepping back. Too serious. Way too serious.
Searching for something to get their minds off of that particular subject, he looked down at the people on the ground level, thinking. When he turned back to her, he smirked. "You know... We're all alone up here... No one can see us, or hear us, and not many people come up here..." He smirked seductively and winked playfully, licking his lips a little. Of course. Well, sex was his go to subject.

Grinning once more, Victoire swallowed and let out a quiet laugh as his hand grazed her throat. It was always one of the more sensitive and ticklish parts of her body, which he probably knew. "You should, seeing as you're one of the people who says it," she said teasingly, leaning forward slightly, closer to him. Reaching up to take him on the nose with a slender finger, she grinned before leaning back against the failing like she had been second earlier, "Dating isn't terribly high on my list at the moment." she shrugged slightly before narrowing her eyes on him at his next words. She knew it wasn't directed entirely at her, but still. No girl liked the possibility of being called boring. Relaxing her glare, Victorie smirked slightly and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then what was I?" Her tone was curious, saying that it wasn't one of those trick questions where any answer given was the wrong one. She was actually curious about the answer, wondering entirely what their relationship had been.
Laughing at the expression on his face, Victoire pushed a couple stray hair from her face as she shook her head, "What did you think I had in there? Whips and chains?" Even to her it sounded ridiculous. But it seemed he had actually been worried about what had been in her bag. Interesting. She let her words linger as she waited for his answer, resting her weight on her forearms that were on the railing. "Ah, yes, all those girls fighting for your attention," she nodded, though her voice was only half sarcastic. Nate was definitely one of the most attractive seventh years in the school, and it was no secret that many of the school's female population fancied him. Not that it was surprising at all.
Letting her eyes follow him as he moved away from her to stand beside her, Victoire turned her head to face him fully, watching the lights and shadows play over his profile. Smiling lightly, she looked him over before returning her eyes to his, "Thank you," she said, nodding slightly, "You don't look bad yourself." his confession caught her off guard. It wasn't like them to be so serious about things they discussed, especially after breaking up. Instead of replying, she let her eyes drift over to the face of the clock with a soft sigh. "Well, nice to know I'm one of the special few," she joked lightly, keeping her attention on the clock, though a smile played on her lips.
She could hear him moving around next to her, but didn't bother looking over to see what he was doing. Instead, when he blocked her view with his body, she looked up to see him smirking at her. Of course he'd turned the conversation towards sex. Not that she minded really. Biting back a smile, Victoire let out a snort before rolling her eyes playfully. "I'm not having sex with you in the clock tower," she said with another eye roll, though a smirk was tugging at the corners of her lips.

Nate blinked as he felt her swallow, then grinned as he tickled her, suddenly remembering the light significance of that particular spot of her body. "I forgot all your ticklish spots..." Did that mean anything? They'd never gone into their relationship expecting it to last for long; or, he hadn't, at least. Surely she didn't expect him to remember that small, petty stuff like her sensitive spots--especially after all the flings he'd been in since he broke up with her! Her teasing words brought him back and redirected his attention to her, and he chuckled and shrugged. "Well, then, I guess it must be true, if I'm saying it." His eyes crossed as they followed her finger, then returned to normal as his gaze returned to her face. "Well, I guess everyone has their own set of priorities." He paused, considering her question. "You were... I'm not sure. But you weren't boring, I can tell you that, at least."
He looked at her as if that idea was positively ridiculous and looked down at the bag warily. "Well, no, but... That monster book is pretty damn scary, you could've been carrying that thing with you." He looked nervous for a moment once they were on the subject of girls, but gave a slight, apprehensive smirk. "Yes... As much as I love the attention... sometimes I don't really love it all that much." He smiled slightly at her thanks, but looked playfully embarrassed at her praise. "Oh, you flatter me. I'm in the middle of a bad hair day and it's just unbearable. I think half my... fans... lost interest when they saw how much of a mess it's in." His hair seemed fine, really, but he considered it a bad hair day. Who knew why.
He noted that she didn't reply to his confession and tucked that away for later, instead giving a half grin at what she did reply to. "Yes, the 'few' are special... as there are only one or two." He seemed only slightly deterred by her declination, but thought of a solution quickly. "Well, if not here, maybe... in an empty classroom, where we can lock the door? There's always somewhere on the grounds... The dungeons? We can find a place that suits you."

"They're not something I tend to go around advertising," she teased, raising an eyebrow. Most of her ticklish spots were places that weren't where they would normally be found on someone, though the normal places such as her rib cage and sides were always sensitive to tickling. It was something she didn't want a whole lot of people knowing, since she was a bit paranoid that someone would try to spring a tickle attack on her. He didn't think she expected him to remember them, did he? She was never the type of ex or current girlfriend to get offended by those kind of things, and she'd never really been the type to be clingy during or after a relationship.
"Oh, of course," she said seriously in agreement before breaking into a smile and shaking her head slightly. She wasn't too surprise at his answer, but also mostly because she wasn't entirely sure what he had been to her. Sure, they had dated and had fun, but that was about it, right? "Good to know. I would hate to be boring," she replied with the smile still on her face before laughing at the look he gave her in response to her words. Well, she'd probably gotten his attention with that one.
She shook her head with a smirk once her laughter died down before answering, "I'm not taking Care of Magical Creatures anymore. I donated that book to my uncle Charlie once I dropped the class." Not that she'd expect him to know her schedule or anything, but she felt the need to explain anyways. Rolling her eyes, she sighed dramatically before returning her eyes to his, "Now I'm just feeding your ego, aren't I?" she teased, "Though I'm sure your fans would love to help you solve your bad hair day."
She gave him a slightly surprised look before raising an eyebrow once more, "Oh? Who might be the other lucky girl?" she asked before laughing again, "You seem to forget how I am. I'm not going to have sex with you anywhere around the castle. Sorry, love." She wasn't a virgin, and she wasn't shy about sex, but Victoire preferred to not get that intimate with ex's. Just seemed to make things too messy down further along the road.

Nate paused with a thoughtless smirk and looked down at her curiously. "Was I boring?" He wiggled his eyebrows before his face fell into a disconcerted expression. "I think that's the first time someone's laughed at me," he sighed to himself, staring at her with a quirked brow. "Oh. Well. Good to know. I'll keep that in mind next time I wonder what's in your bag." He looked at the bag again, as if there might still be something questionable inside it.
His attention returned to her and he smirked with a wink. "Everything feeds my ego, love. Especially girls. But my 'fans' would probably make it even worse. I wouldn't trust anyone but myself with my hair care. And I think they'd be more interested in... other parts of my body than my hair. Making it worse would be collateral damage."
He took a moment to consider his answer, and when he had it, he looked rather surprised himself. "I don't even know," he answered honestly, looking up and biting his lip. "... I know there was someone else, but I can't remember their name. ... I can't even remember if they were a boy or girl." He looked back down at her and chuckled. "I'm sure we can find somewhere that's not around the castle. But whatever. At least let me do this," he sighed, leaning in to kiss her, though he paused, allowing her to decide whether they kissed or not. Whether or not they did, he asked quietly, "What's your next class? I'll walk you there, if you want."

Pretending to think over his question for a few minutes, Victoire eventually held up her thumb and pointer finger about an inch apart. "Maybe just a little bit," her tone was serious, though there was a teasing quality to it and a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. Laughing once more, she reached up to shake her blond hair from it's pony tail as she grinned. "Yeah, well, there's a first time for everything." she said before looking around the clock tower again. In some ways, that was their relationship. He'd be cocky, she'd say something to knock him down a few pegs. It was all in good fun, though. Or at least she hoped it was. Rolling her eyes slightly at his expression, she didn't bother to comment. Instead she just let him think what he wished, rolling her eyes once more as she thought about some of the stuff that could be going through his mind.
"Boys and their hair," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes once again. She'd never really understood it. Sure, she worried about her hair quite a bit of the time, but still; the long, blonde locks that she'd inherited from her mother were normally free of products and left to usually hang down her back in soft waves. Maybe it was the veela part of her, but she'd never had much trouble taming her curls. Turning her attention back towards him, she smirked playfully. "And of course we couldn't have that."
Honestly? She hadn't expected him to answer. In fact, Victoire had been waiting to hear some random line he used to avoid the question. But now she wasn't quite sure how to respond and simply uttered a small, "Oh." But a couple seconds later, he didn't disappoint, and there was the line she had been expecting. Rolling her eyes once more - how many times could she do that without getting some damage? - she laughed and shook her head. "On castle ground, off castle grounds; it doesn't make a difference, I'm not having sex with you." she said with a laugh, but she let him kiss her anyways. Pulling back, she thought over her schedule briefly before answering his question. "Charms, I believe." she answered with a smile, "And I would love company."

Nate smirked unsurely and looked over her inquisitively. "Was I now?" he growled playfully, before looking jokingly hurt. "Well, that's something I was hoping I could avoid the first time of." At her comment he huffed, looking at her incredulously. "I could say the same thing about girls, though you've never seemed too concerned about that sort of thing. Hmph." He looked down at her in amusement and chuckled with a smirk. "Well, I don't mind my hair getting messed up if I'm bed... the problem there is whether I want to be in bed or not. There are times I don't want sex, believe it or not." Even he had difficulty believing it sometimes, so he wouldn't be surprised if she did too.
He was a bit disappointed at being shot down, but he wasn't entirely ready to give up. "Mm, fine... Can I have sex with you, then?" he purred suggestively, leaning in closer to her to kiss at her neck, a hand hesitantly moving to rest on her hip. "Mmmmm, Charms... Learning anything fun in there? I'll take you there... when are you due? Do we have some time?" He growled again, looking at her somewhat hopefully. "We can get up to no good if you have a while before the class starts..."
For a moment he looked as if he was considering what he'd just said, then shook his head and pulled away. "Anyway."
