He'd been within the room a handful of times before now, back from when he was a student here at Hogwarts himself. A devilish grin made its way onto his lips, as he remembered just why he'd been sent to this same office years ago. Obviously, it was because he had played some sort of joke that went too far. Teddy never meant to cause any trouble with his pranks, but he just never knew when to give it a rest. A chuckle built up within his throat, as all these thoughts flew into his shaggy haired head. It all seemed so long ago. And now here he was: Actually moving in to this office! It was his now. He'd taken on the role he'd found obnoxious just five years prior. Life was a funny thing. Ironic, really.
His arms folded over his chest, as Teddy looked around the room. Objects were flying all over the place, sorting themselves into their correct places. Magic was a nice thing to have when unpacking, that was for sure. The room was darkened, besides the fire burning in the fire place. Teddy never liked to have too much light within a room. It would give him a headache if there was too much, and he hated that feeling. His grandmother always said the same thing, and it was just something that had rubbed off onto the younger boy. At the thought of his grandmother, Teddy lowered his eyes to the floor. Every time he thought of her, he was taken over by a wave of guilt. Of emotion. She was gone. And he was here. Teddy raised his right hand, and wiped at his eyes, getting rid of any tears that threatened to fall. Crying made him feel weak, and he hated that feeling as well. He hated a lot of things, now that he thought about it, actually.
Teddy dropped his limbs back to his sides, and looked himself over quickly in the now hanging mirror. He was dressed in practically black jeans, and the rest of him was well covered in a pitch dark as night coat. The coat was one of Teddy's favorites. It was soft and warm, yet firm. It was nice... It was his father's. His father: Just another person who was gone. Not there. Teddy was quite alone these days, actually. He hated it, yet enjoyed it at the same time. Just another thing he hated. Why was life filled with so much hatred? Getting too deep into thought, Teddy let out a huff of air, and made his way closer to the mirror. Once his nose was inches from the glass, the boy narrowed his eyes, and concentrated for a single moment. The next, his chocolate brown hair was turning a shade of dark teal. This color always suited him better, in his own opinion. It just felt more... Him. Suddenly, though, a noise came from the far side of the room. It startled Teddy, and made him jump. His fingers instinctively shot to the inside of his coat, where his wand was kept. "Who's there?!"

Letting out a sigh as she slipped through the portrait hole, Victoire looked around quickly before starting to walk away from the painting protecting Gryffindor's common room. She could hear the Fat Lady mumbling something about students being out after hours, but honestly couldn't bring herself to turn around and tell the painting to mind her own business. But she knew if she came back with a snarky reply, chances were high that the woman in the portrait would simply not allow her entrance once she returned. And Victoire really didn't want to spend the night outside her portrait, especially should a prefect or one of the heads wander by and ask her why. That would simply end badly, and she really didn't want to lose any house points this early in the year.
Slipping down the hallways and passages that she'd taken for six years now seemed like a second nature, her path illuminated by the faint glow of the dying torch lights. She didn't trust her wand to not bring too much attention to herself, whether from any prefects doing rounds or the portraits, so it simply was tucked into her back pocket. Occasionally Victoire would hear a noise, and keep herself still as she could before moving on quickly after making sure she didn't hear it again.
It was a bit of a challenge, sneaking through the castle; especially since it wasn't something she normally did. Sure, sometimes she'd slip out of the portrait hole and spend some time in one of the empty corridors for a few minutes when her occasional insomnia kicked in, but for the most part she would stick to the rules in place. But right now there was someone she wanted to see in specific, and considering she was a seventh year now, she couldn't really imagine getting another chance unless it was with quite a few other students in a classroom. Turning around the corner, Victoire had to smile to herself. Her parents wouldn't exactly be terribly pleased to hear she'd been sneaking through the castle after curfew, but so far she hadn't fun into anyone that might be able to get her into trouble. She gave herself a mental pat on her back just as she reached the door to the office she was looking for.
Taking the few steps closer, Victoire was about to reach out and knock, but somehow ended up knocking into one of the suits of armour that seemed to be guarding the entrance to the Transfiguration professor's office. Metal clanging against metal echoed through the empty hallways, and she swore under her breath, "Merde!" It seemed her mother's habit of switching into French whenever she was frustrated had been passed on to her, and Victoire quickly looked around to make sure no one was being attracted by the noise she caused. All she could hear was her own breathing before a voice from inside the office caught her attention. So much for being stealthy. Turning back towards the door, she knocked lightly before pushing it open with her fingertips, not waiting for an invitation to enter. "Professor Lupin?" she called out, her quiet tone playful, "Are you busy?" she asked as she slipped inside the room, holding up her hands in an 'I surrender' type motion.

Believe it or not, Teddy Remus Lupin was quite the pro with a wand. After all, he'd just volunteered to coach the school's Dueling Club. He hoped he was as good as he thought! His eyes rested on the heavy wooden door, the only entrance and exit of his office. The sudden sound had come from that direction; Someone was outside the door. And then Teddy heard a voice. It was a girl. Her voice was soft, and beautiful like a song. There was an almost sarcastic tone to her words, which made Teddy raise an eyebrow. He let go of his wand, a bit disappointed, actually. Teddy had been half hoping for something exciting. He was ready for a reason to use some offensive spells.
Taking a few steps toward the door, the loud visitor revealed herself. She had a slender finger, and long blond hair that ran all the way down her back. Her face was almost angel like, and Teddy examined her for a few long moments, making sure he wasn't imagining this sight. It was truly her. A wide smile spread over Teddy's face, showing off his whitened teeth. A short laugh escaped his throat. "Vic?!"
The boy questioned, in disbelief. It'd been far too long since he'd seen the girl, Victoire Weasley. He took a few more steps closer to her, and placed his hands on her shoulders, his eyes flying over her once more. Teddy shook his head a few times, his words jumbled on his tongue. "I can't believe it's you! You-You look amazing!" Blinking a handful of times, Teddy leaned forward, and pulled his old friend into a tight embrace. The hugging reunion lasted for a bit too long, as Teddy squeezed much too tight. He was honestly stunned at Vic popping up in his office for some reason. He just hadn't expected it. Realizing he was already far into Victoire's personal space, Teddy took a few steps back. He couldn't stop his eyes from scanning the girl over once more, though. It was hard to believe the little girl he'd grown up with had turned into the woman in front of him. His eyes drifted from Victoire to his cracked open door, which led into the dark, silent halls, and Teddy realized just what was going on now. He tilted his head to the side, and pointed a finger at the girl. "And... You shouldn't be out of your room..." He spoke in a slow voice, so he himself could comprehend them as well. Once they were stated, though, Teddy rolled his eyes, and walked on over to the door. There, he pushed it shut, and turned back to face Victoire. "If anyone asks, I asked for your aid in unpacking," The boy motioned his hand around the room, indicating for his guest to take a look, "And as you can see, you did quite the aiding." Giving the girl a few seconds to take in his newly furnished office, Teddy admired her through his teal bangs. "... How've you been?" He asked, his voice filled with much curiosity.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG: Victoire Weasley WORDS: 538 NOTES: Tra la la.

She hadn't really known what to expect once she was inside the office, especially since they hadn't seen each other in what seemed like forever. Though Teddy loosening his grip on his wand hadn't been one of the scenarios that had played through her head. She raised an eyebrow at him, watching as he set it down. From the fact that he had yet to say anything, Victoire figured that he didn't quite recognize her. Though it wasn't too surprising. She'd changed quite a bit since the last time she'd seen him, filled out and grown into her body and such. Definitely taken after her mum, she had decided a couple years ago when she was at the end of puberty. Pretty much everything in her looks she'd gotten from the French woman, though her personality seemed to be a mixture of both parents. Shifting slightly uncomfortably in the silence, she had to wonder if coming down to his office was such a good idea, or if she should simply turn around and head back to her dorms.
Taking the opportunity the silence offered, the blond took a moment to look him over. He hadn't changed much; he still looked like the Teddy she remembered, only...older. Not at all surprising, considering how much they had both aged. His eyes were the same amber-ish colour that they normally were unless he morphed them, and his hair was the vibrant teal blue that had always been her favourite out of his hair colours. Seeing a spark of what she could only assume was recognition flash threw his eyes, she grinned at the disbelief in his tone. "In the flesh," she joked, repeating the muggle saying she'd heard on more than one occasion. Feeling his hands grip her shoulders, she reached up to brush her bangs from her face and tugging lightly at the end of her braid, feeling suddenly rather self conscious. Not that she wasn't used to people looking at her often, it was something that came with the whole being part Veela thing, but somehow this felt a bit different than that. Laughing, she let him pull her into a tight embrace, wrapping her arms around his middle as he did. It lasted longer than necessary, but it felt nice. "Well, I do go here, remember?" she teased as she pulled back from him before continuing, "But I was a lowly second year while you were a seventh year, so maybe not. But that you, you look great too." she smiled as she let go of her hair and hooked her thumbs into the waistband of her pajama pants.
Frowning slightly at the look on his face, Victoire followed his gaze towards the open door of his office. Biting her lip lightly, she almost started laughing as she watched realization play across his face. Shrugging one shoulder, she bit back a grin and tried to bring a sheepish expression on her face. "Technically, no..." she agreed with another half shrug before giving up and smiling as she watched him close the door before joining her again. Looking around the room, Victoire nodded in approval. Over what she wasn't entirely sure, but it was kind of cool to see what the professor's quarters looked like. "Well, it seems like I'm quite a good helper," she said with a laugh as she turned to look up at him, "Though I do suppose now is a good time to mention I'm terrible at Transfiguration." She thought over his question for a couple of minutes before answering. "I'm good, thanks. How have you been?" she took a second to look around once more before turning back towards him and letting out a small laugh, "Teddy Lupin, Hogwarts Transfiguration Professor. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"
