PERSONALITY:
Much unlike his older brother, Albus is calmer and more rational than James. A lot of the time he prefers to spend his time reading books or hanging out with a couple of good friends, but nothing that involves a large social circle. He’s the type of boy to have two or three really close friends, and those be the main people that he spends his time with. They boy, since he was little, has always been a bit self-conscious and quite insecure a lot of the time. He has a strong and close relationship with his father, but being the son of Harry Potter isn’t the easiest thing in the world.
As mentioned earlier, Albus is the opposite of his brother, James. While the older of the two boys tends to be a bit more rowdy and fun loving, Al much prefers to spend time in the common room with a good book in front of the fire. He likes to think that he takes after his grandmother more than anyone, since from what he’s heard, their personalities were quite similar. He hates when people stop and start whispering about Harry Potter’s son, and because of this, he only has a few close friends that he knows like him for him instead of his famous last name.

HISTORY:
Being the son of Harry Potter, the boy who lived, isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Albus Severus Potter was born on July 10th of the year 1996 to loving parents. He was their second child, and as such he was spoiled quite in the same way his older brother had been at his age. During his younger years in life, Al formed a strong bond with his father, which made Harry the first person that the messy haired boy would go to if he had a problem or if he ever got hurt. He loved his mother, of course, but his relationship with his father was stronger. Just like James, Al learned to fly on a broomstick in his early age, though it never became a passion for him like it was for his family. Instead he seemed to take quite a bit after his grandmother, and preferred to spend time curled up in his bed with a book, escaping into fantasy lands that were different than his own.
A year after he was born, Albus was graced with a little sister, Lily Luna Potter. For a bit of time after her pregnancy and birthing, Ginny took some time away from her job to be with her children and Al helped her raise Lily as best as he could at his young age. He adored being an older brother, as he finally was. Even though he wasn’t much older than Lily, Al was always incredibly protective of her; any time that she hurt herself, he was one of the first people to reach her and help her out. His parents would always joke that he was more of her knight in shining armour rather than her older brother in the way he acted with her.
It didn’t take long for his magical abilities to start showing, popping up around the age of six. James’ had emerged around the same time, and he was glad that he now could say that he could do magic as well, just like his older brother. When he was ten, James received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts, and Al couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous. He knew his would come in time, but after hearing the stories from his aunts, uncles and older cousins who were already attending the school, he couldn’t help but feel sad he’d have to wait a whole other year before he could go. James was sorted into Gryffindor, and as the year progressed, Al couldn’t help but be worried about what house he himself would get sorted into.
It was something James constantly teasing him about, getting sorted into Slytherin. This was his main worry and thought when he finally received his letter and stood with his parents at the King’s Cross station. Minutes before he had to board the train, his father gave him a bit of a pep talk, assuring him that it wouldn’t matter what house he was sorted into, even if it was Slytherin. After all, the man who he got his middle name from was a Slytherin, and to quote his father, ‘the bravest man I ever knew.’ Al wouldn’t admit it to many, but it was a relief to him to be sorted into the house his parents had been in. He made friends over the course of his five years in school, though only a handful were people he truly considered best friends. He’s part of the dueling club, and so far loving his time at Hogwarts.
