Its really good to hear your voice(SAYING MY NAME)For the first time in a couple of days, it felt like the weather was starting to decide that it was going to let the students of Hogwarts enjoy the last bit of summer before the heavy rains of fall fell upon them. The sky was clear from clouds, and the sun bright in the middle of it. Laying down on one of the large boulders around the Black Lake, Albus used his hand as a shade for his eyes before taking a look around. There weren't many people around him, most of them no doubt enjoying the sun in the court yard and other places around the castle. Not that he minded, of course. He preferred to spend time on his own more than surrounded by his classmates.
Days like these were his favourites. He had the chance to relax during a free period and be far enough away from the other students doing the same that he didn't feel the need to interact with them to avoid seeming rude. He wasn't a people person, but his parents had always made sure that he was raised with proper manors, even if all he really wanted to do was sit in his room and read a book. Pulling himself up into a sitting position as he let out a sigh, Al pushed his hair from his face, looking around briefly as he did so.
If he looked like he was looking for someone, it was because he was. He was looking for her, the one girl other than his sister or family he ever really felt comfortable around. She was a year younger, and thus had a different schedule than his, so he couldn't really be sure if she was out in the courtyard or not. Shaking his head at himself, Al mentally scolded himself for acting like a love sick teenager. Though in some ways, he was. Letting out another sigh, he blew his bangs out of his face and turned his attention towards the surface of the Black Lake. the potential of you and me it looks like a b o o k elegantly bound; Holding her books, Charlie walked through the halls of Hogwarts. She glanced around the corridors, looking for anyone she might have known. The DADA professor had dismissed them early to research some things in the library, and Charlie had already done her research. Still, to avoid confusion, she carried around the books she checked out so she could reassure them that she wasn't a slacker.
Where was he? Charlie raised an eyebrow. Perhaps she was wrong, but she'd thought he had a free period right now. She glanced down at the walkway before her and then looked out over the courtyards. There were a few people dotted here and there, but none were who she was looking for. She was searching for one Albus Potter, but couldn't seem to find him anywhere. Maybe she was wrong after all. She'd expected he'd be reading somewhere comfortable. His comfort spot was either elsewhere or Charlie was alone for this period.
Not giving up, Charlie walked across the courtyards and further out on the grounds. She supposed there were too many people out here for her close friend to feel content. She crossed over the pond, no luck there either. Blowing out a huff of restlessness, Charlie put her hands on her hips and looked around one more time. Squinting her eyes, Charlie brightened up. She saw the familiar back of a head and quickly walked over to the Black Lake.
It was hard not to make a sound on the way over. Charlie wanted to squeal with excitement right when she spotted him! Ridiculous. She'd let this crush get out of hand. He'd never like her back. It was hopeless, unrealistic, and stupid. However, there wasn't a single thing she could do about it. She couldn't force herself to stop thinking that everything about him was amazing and charming and...
As quietly as she could, Charlie walked over and snuck up behind him. Placing her books on a rock that was somewhat close to where the boy was, she continued on her quest. She approached him and gently covered his eyes with both of her hands and grinned, "Guess who!" tagged; albie<3 words; 355 outfit; here!notes; <33

Its really good to hear your voice(SAYING MY NAME)Down by the Black Lake was actually more peaceful that most would think. Surprisingly, there weren't a whole lot of people that seemed to like spending time on the shore of the lake, but then again, the giant squid that made the dark waters it's home could be a bit terrifying to some of the students. He had to chuckle at the thought, because he'd always imagined the large creature as more misunderstood that anything. Shaking he head at himself, Al sat up on the rock and placed his palms on the rock beneath him, propping his upper body as he looked over over the surface on the water again.
He felt as though someone was watching him, and tilted his head to the side as though he was trying to hear something. Whatever had caught his attention, it seemed to be gone, and Al was about to turn around just to make sure when a small pair of hands covered his eyes and a light voice filled his ear. He should have known it was her, since he always seemed to be able to tell when Scout was around. "You don't sound like James," he started in a thoughtful tone, though a grin was on his face, "No, he's probably off with Darby somewhere anyways; and you don't sound like Ben or Fred. So that leaves...Scout?" As he mentioned her name, Albus pulled her hands from his eyes lightly and turned around to face her. Returning her grin, the Gryffindor reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her onto the boulder next to him.
Albus took a moment to look over her quickly, before returning his eyes to hers. She looked fantastic, not that he was surprised. Even in a pair of grimy sweats and a t shirt Scout always looked great. "Good morning, dear Scout," he greeted her with a warm smile, pushing his thoughts away. He knew his feelings for her were a bit more than a crush, but it wouldn't do him any good to do something that might make them show. Especially since chances were slim that she'd return the feelings. "How are you?" was his friendly question, glancing around quickly before his eyes settled on the book bag she must have dropped before sneaking up on him. "Just come from class?" the potential of you and me it looks like a b o o k elegantly bound; Scout always liked the Black Lake. She found it mysterious and intriguing in so many ways. The humongous oversized squid that lived in it never failed to creep her out, but she wasn't afraid of it really. It was just about the size of fifty of her, so it's a common thing to be a little bit freaked out by the animal. For some reason, though, she had to fight the urge to feed it. She felt like a child in a park next to the pond full of ducks.
Charlie had to smirk when he went through the possible people it could be. She knew he knew that it was her, he always seemed to be able to tell, and the fact that he was so playful with it made her smile. Allowing herself to be pulled up on the rock, Charlie giggled, "Good guess." That whole scenario just then made her heart flutter uncontrollably. Why was she so smitten by him? Stupid crush and its stupid qualities.
"Good morning!" Charlie said cheerfully as she looked out over the lake. It looked especially pretty when the sunlight hit it just right and you could only see it from atop this boulder. She side-glanced Albus timidly. He always looked so cute without even trying and it just was not fair. For anyone. "I'm good! I got to come outside on this gorgeous day." She smiled and sighed thoughtfully. Her eyes shot to the bookbag and back to the boy beside her and shrugged. "Sort of. Our professor let us out early to research and I just carried those around so I wouldn't look like a slacker or anything. I already did the research and all." She looked down at her dress and straightened it a little. She'd charmed her uniform to change whenever she wasn't in a classroom. Neat, right? tagged; albie<3 words; 310 outfit; here!notes; <33

Its really good to hear your voice(SAYING MY NAME)Glancing over at Scout from the corner of his eye, Albus watched her for a few minutes as they sat in silence before letting his gaze drift back over the shiny surface of the lake. From his vantage point he could see small ripples of water where he could only assume the giant squid was lurking under. He'd always thought of it as an interesting creature, though it was about ten times bigger than him. Whenever he was down here he always had to remind himself not to feed the thing, much less try to spend time with it.
"Morning," he replied once she was settled next to him, grinning at her chipper tone. It was weird, normally people who always were energetic and chipper grated on his nerves quickly, though with Scout he just found it cute. Somehow her high energy was different that some of the other girl's in her year. It also helped that she didn't try to befriend him because of who his family was.
Smiling at her, he looked around the surrounding area once more before turning back towards her. "It is a gorgeous day, isn't it?" he said, bringing on hand up to cover his eyes against the glare of the sun reflecting on the surface of the water. He looked back over at her book bag, leaning forward a bit as though trying to peek a glance at the books resting inside. "What are you researching?" he asked after a bit, pulling himself up straight before he ended up falling off the boulder by leaning forward too far. A light breeze had picked up, and Albus tried not too notice how the wind picked up and dropped a bit of her hair on her face. His fingers itched to tuck it behind her ear, but closed his hand in a fist instead. Scout would probably just find it creepy too.
