PERSONALITY:
Blaine is completely a character of his own. He's very outgoing and isn't afraid to take up someone on a challenge. Being well-known throughout the school, especially since he's the Quidditch Captain and was a very likely candidate for head boy, he's gotten used to the attention. So used to it, in fact, that when he's alone, he just doesn't even know what to do with himself. He's a people person, and always has a group of friends with him.
Even though the boy has a lot of friends, Blaine isn't exactly the most trusting of people. Due to his popularity, a lot of people just use the friendship between them to get higher up on the social ladder in Hogwarts. It's annoying, to say the least, because Blaine never asked for the popularity. It brought itself onto him, and as far as he's concerned, if it meant having true friends, he'd surrender it faster than a snitch flies.

HISTORY:
Blaine Anderson was the first born child to Jason and Mirasol Anderson. They were so grateful for him. What they weren't grateful for, however, was magic. They were both magically gifted, but they wanted to keep Blaine away from such a place, because they were still haunted by the days of Voldemort. They couldn't keep the secret forever, though, because when Blaine was six and his little brother Shane was three, Blaine turned Shane's milk into orange juice, which Shane hated. Shane hated it so much, in fact, that he threw it at Mirasol, who was suspicious because she so vividly remembered putting milk into the sippy cup. A few more situations like this happened, and eventually, when Blaine was ten, Shane was seven, and Kairi was five, the two parents spilled the magical beans.
Mad that they kept it, Blaine stormed off to his Disney-themed bedroom and didn't come out for an entire day. He only came out for food, and then Jason and Mirasol apologized to the kids and explained the case. Forgiven, Blaine hugged them and everything was as normal as it could be with three magical children in the house. When Blaine's letter came, his parents couldn't help being excited. They took him to Diagon Alley to get him all new supplies and a pretty black owl.
At Hogwarts, Blaine endured it quite easily. He was immediately a crowd-pleaser with his sense of humor and favorable personality. He earned himself a big number of friends and an unreal amount of popularity. He started Quidditch his first year, and throughout schooling, he switched positions each year. In his sixth year, he was put as keeper, and it just felt right to him. So right, in fact, that he kept the spot upon trying out his seventh year. He was made captain, which obviously made him even more popular. He was also a great candidate for Head Boy, but someone beat him out on it. Honestly, Blaine didn't care. He had enough on his plate.

Blaine patiently waited for the new kid to take his hand and shake it. This wasn't the first hesitation that Blaine endured when in relevance to shaking hands. The first victim of Blaine's guiding skills, the annoying one, didn't shake his hand at all. It started them off bad from the start. Blaine was just glad that the blonde decided to shake it. It made a good impression in itself, and truthfully, Blaine expected blondie's hand to be all sweaty, but it wasn't. He hadn't seen the wiping of it, because he tended to be a little oblivious sometimes, so he just found it charming that the boy wasn't as nervous as Blaine had predicted. The smile, however, sold him out a little bit. It was okay, though. That just made him cuter. Blaine grinned back and shook his hand, charisma and all.
He nodded, "Sam Evans, huh? Okay, that's easy to remember. I'm bad with names, but I think yours might stick." Blaine smiled charmingly and watched their shaking hands die down a bit. Sam's grip on his hand only proved his theory further. Bisexual, at least, or he would've let go of Blaine's hand after the second shake. When he let go, Blaine was a little disappointed, but he masked it and replaced his hand by his side once again. His eyes, though. They definitely stayed locked with Sam's. Okay, yeah, the gaydar hadn't left him down. It was written in his eyes. There was a certain way that someone looked at you, and you instantaneously knew they were interested. That was definitely this stare. Maybe, if Sam knew the eye-lock as well as Blaine did, Sam would clue in on the obvious chemistry.
"Oh, so are you new to the whole private school atmosphere, too?" Blaine raised his eyebrows and stuck his somewhat nervous hands in his pockets. He didn't think Dalton was all that big, but that was probably because the school he went to before he moved to Ohio to go to Dalton could've eaten it. He came from a big city, though. Nothing surprised him anymore. "You'll get used to it." Blaine grinned, reassuringly, and then looked around the office. The staff was staring. Well, then. Nosies.
Blaine returned his glance to Sam and nodded towards the door, "Come on, Mr. Evans, we have a lot to cover." He grinned as he walked to the glass door, and held it open for Sam to follow. Dalton had a lot to offer, and the chance to cover it all fast enough so that Sam could at least attend one class today (because Blaine was asked to make that happen) was slowly ticking away. Blaine wondered if Sam was going to board, but he thought it best not to ask just yet.
