PERSONALITY:
Jenna has never really been a quiet girl even with the fact that she is deaf. If anything Jenna has always loved being in the spot light showing the world that just, because she is deaf doesn't mean she can't live an awesome life. Like her mom, who was also deaf, Jenna is very courages and is always up for a new adventure which terrifies her father greatly since her mom's courageousness is the thing that killed her in the first place. Along with this Jenna is a very intelligent girl and even though she is very confident in herself she knows her own limits on what she should and shouldn't do. As good as that might sounds thought knowing her own limits also causes Jenna to be a bit disobedient when it comes to her father's orders.
Another thing about Jenna that her father is truly worried about is the fact that she is very naive and trusts easily. But he also knows that she is to stubborn to allow anyone who messes with her to get away with it. Along with this Jenna is rather creative and has a love for painting, drawing writing poetry and even sing even though she can't herself. From what she is told though she is rather good at it along with writing songs from her poems and dancing. All in all though Jenna is a very sweet girl who is very well mannered when it comes to meeting others especially when it comes to the grown ups who are usually really impressed on what a deaf girl can really do.

HISTORY:
Jenna was born April 15th over by Mount Eliza in Victoria, Australia a minute before midnight. Her parents, Jonathan & Clarissa Porter nee Murray, had only met exactly four years ago while Jonathan was visiting some old family friends is France where he had met Clarissa in a outdoor market. After dating for almost three years they then decided to get married and ran off to live their life back in Jonathan's home town Victoria, Australia. With Jenna know being born the parents quickly learned that like Clarissa Jenna was deaf, but was thankfully able to speak. Growing up with her mom around the house Jenna learned sign language and reading lips rather easily.
By the time Jenna was 7 years old Clarissa ended up dying by her own carelessly right in front of her own daughter's eyes after doing a couple of spells she had found in a spell book which she really shouldn't have been doing. Both dreading the death of Clarissa it was soon decided that the two would move away from Australia to England where one of Jonathan's inherited Manors was located in a rather large field in the middle of no where. Continuing to grow up with out a mother Aidan couldn't help, but tell the very strong similarities that Jenna had had with her mother and began to worry about his only child.
By the time Jenna was 10 years old Aidan knew it wasn't almost time for Jenna to start her school and after years of slacking off on his job as a healer he knew he couldn't afford to home school her. After finding a selective few of magic schools for the deaf and blind he tried to talk Jenna into going to one of them, but she stubbornly refused all of them with her heart set on going to Hogwarts. Finally getting her letter Aidan knew there was no way to stop his daughter from going there and set up a meeting with the headmaster about Jenna being deaf and after a long conversation with the headmaster they made sure that she had some way of understanding each of the teachers whether it be reading their lips, having there every word be written in the air for her to read or the simple sign language that her mother had showed her when she was younger.
With her years of Hogwarts going by it wasn't long for most of the students to get very interested in Jenna who like usual ignored the obvious whispering around her considering it wasn't like she could hear what they were saying about her anyway. After a while it wasn't long until she made friends with a couple of her house mates along with a few ravenclaws and hufflepuffs who would quickly stand up for her if some slithering decided to make fun of her for being deaf. When this happen like usual Jenna would just tell them to ignore it because in all honesty it real didn't bother her for one day they would regret everything and she was not going to sink to their level by getting back at them, but that didn't mean she tried to stop her friends who got back at them for her.

Sitting in her usual seat at the kitchen table in Porter Manor Jenna couldn't help, but sign. For it was quite obvious even for a ten year old girl that her father didn't want her to attend Hogwarts with all the information about Magical Schools for the Blind and Deaf he had been throwing her way, but no matter what he said she wasn't going to go through with it no matter how much safer it might be. Just then she glanced up as a brown owl flew through the window dropping a letter beside her before leaving. Curious her face lit up as she saw the Hogwarts school crest on the letter.
Jumping out of her seat she immediately ran towards her father's study where he was most likely trying to catch up on some work after all the time he had been taking off since her mother's death. Smirking when she found him hovering over his desk she cleared her throat making him jump before turning towards his daughter. Curiously Aidan asked "What do you want Angel?" Still smirking she slowly held up the Hogwarts which caused Jonathan to sign when he saw the crest. Glancing towards his only daughter and the hopeful look on her face he finally said "Okay. I give up, but we will be having a talk with the Headmaster about your situation." Squealing Jenna nodded in agreement and hugged her dad before rushing towards her room to get dress for the day.
