Mike is the kind of guy that's got your back, no matter what lies ahead. He's one of the most loyal friends you could ask for, but it sucks for you if you're on his bad side. However, his bad side is very rarely present. Known for his bright smile, Mike always manages to brightens everyone's day, normally without even trying. He's the friend to go to when you need a counselor, a shoulder to cry on, or just someone who will listen.
With every good side comes a dark side, however. Being bisexual, Mike constantly beats himself up for being "different" than others. Although he wears a smile in public and won't deny his sexuality, the tears that flow at night prove otherwise. Mike is an extreme extrovert and craves attention from others, but when overall he tends to tire himself out. All he wants is your love.

Mike was born into a happy household, brought up by a middle-aged couple. He never had another sibling to interact with, which fortunately allowed for his parents to give him all the spoils. Everything was perfect for the trio until Mike was seven years old. His father mysteriously died in a car crash on his way back from work, killing him instantaneously. Luckily Mike and his mother was not in the vehicle at the time, but since then it was just Daiyu and Mike.
Bao San had left a wealthy amount of money behind, allowing the surviving the Chang family to inherit a healthy amount of money. Combined with her job as a stock broker, they never had to worry about financial ordeals. Unfortunately, Mike had to grow up without a father and Daiyu was forced to raise her child alone. The story doesn't end tragically, though. When Mike came of age, he received his admittance letter into Hogwarts. The mother revealed the Chang family's secret; Bao San was a wizard, and Mike would be following in his footsteps. The half-blood soon found himself boarding the train beyond the pillar of 9 and 3/4.
Years later, Mike has turned into a successful wizard. Although he hates to study potions and herbs, he has developed a knack for casting spells. His graduation is looming across the horizon, and Mike is hoping to make the last bit of schooling his best, no matter what.

SAMPLE POST:
The young teenager was now pacing his living room floor, as nervous as could be. The crush of his life was about to step through the front door, and Mike was about to pour all of his thoughts and emotion out to the man. How stupid of an idea could this be? he thought to himself. He probably doesn't even have the same feelings for me in return. Hell, he's not even gay! Mike kept repeating the play-by-play of his projected conversation, and each time it grew worse and worse. Sam would look at his best friend in disgust at how gay Mike was, or he'd storm off and never want to be friends again. Or worse, he'd run off and tell everyone what a monster Mike had become. Pain flooded Chang's face at the thought of his best friend looking down on him like that.
"Alright, it's settled," he openly sighed. "I'm not telling him."
Kurt would be a good listener. I should tell him first. He probably wouldn't out me! Thoughts raced through his head, looking for an alternative that never came. All of a sudden, heavy taps on the door echoed throughout the empty living room. Mike froze in shock, not knowing what to do. Should I answer it? Maybe he won't think I'm home. Realizing the stupidity in the thought, he mentally trashed that idea. After a few moments of heavy silence and glaring at the door, Mike decided to go let Sam in. However, his body disagreed with him; the dancer's usually-limber feet felt like they were paved with cement, not wanting to go to the door. "God, he just wants to watch Avatar, let him in," he whispered. Before he made it to the door, Mike's eyes scanned the house for anything out of the way or anything that needed cleaned. After he decided that he had wasted enough time, Mike's trembling hands opened the door.
Standing at the doorstep was none other than Sam himself, looking as good as ever. Sam was one of the most likable people, in Mike's opinion. He was always cool to be around, knew some of the most off-the-wall trivia you could ask for, and most importantly was just a good friend if you ever needed one. Today Sam was wearing his purple and black striped hoodie - one that Mike had seen him wear one too many times before - and some faded jeans. All in all, he looked absolutely adorable today. However, it was never the clothes that made Sam "Sam." It was his smile, and it was being worn in all its glory. Apparently the blonde was ecstatic about watching Avatar with his best bud. Mike automatically felt horrible for feeling nervous and worried instead of matching Sam's excitement, but flashed a smile anyway.
"Hey, Sam! Of course you can come in." Mike held the door open for the fellow nerdy jock, only to watch as he darted to the DVD player toting the case that held Avatar within. He watched as Sam went off and did his own thing, rambling on in utter excitement about how amazing the movie was. And about how you can't not like the movie. And about how he couldn't help but think about spending time with Mike all day. Mike's nerves were instantly cooled when he saw Sam all giddy about their plans. The thoughts he had earlier, about him running off at the sound of Mike being bisexual, didn't seem to phase him anymore. Something told Mike that Sam would understand. They were best friends.
Mike suddenly realized that it was Sam doing all the talking, and interjected his two cents, "Dude, I'm excited too. But the movie better be as good as you claim!" The teen always had a spiel he would say to his guests, and Sam was no exception. Though he's heard it several times before, Mike always felt like he needed to say it. "I prepared snacks. There's more food in the fridge if you want, along with drinks. Cups are in the top shelf, to the right. Just ask me if you need anything. This house is your house." There, at least that was out of the way. One less thing to be worried about. While Sam was tinkering in front of the DVD player, Mike started to gather his thoughts, only to have the wall of nervousness envelop him again. Not wanting Sam to see, he jogged off into the restroom. "Be right back man," he called out.
The door was slammed shut behind him, closing off all contact between him and Sam. Mike's heart was beating fast and his chest rose in an out at a deep, quick pace. Nausea overwhelmed him, forcing Mike to prepare to aim at the toilet bowl if needed. As seconds turned to minutes, Mike's breathing returned to normal and his heart slowly stopped trying to rip out of his chest. The Asian shuffled over to the mirrored sink, examining himself. The reflection that stared back was an emotional trainwreck. "Get yourself together, Mike," he once again whispered. "Sam is out there all by himself, probably awkwardly waiting for you. He doesn't deserve to be kept waiting."
Mike's smile from earlier was all but faded away as he stepped out of the bathroom. Without even looking for Sam to make eye contact, he called out for him.
"Sam, can you come sit down? I want to talk to you before the movie starts."
Mike plopped down on the couch, aimlessly looking ahead. He prayed that Sam would understand the things that were about to be said.
